I have written PEs with a variety of criterea, all looking like "show me clients who are still shown as ACTIVE, but who aren'r really (we hope!) LOST, yet have had no real transactions in X months or Y years".
Could we have a status DORMANT which would allow firms to so mark such clients, based on criterea which to them appear consistent.

What would the status of DORMANT mean? Does it allow entry of time and expenses? Can a client be DORMANT if they have a WIP or DRS balance?
Is there a difference between this and the SUSPENDED status?

Suspended is because they did something. Dormant is because they did nothing.

OK, but what about the effect of the new status? Does it effect time and expense entry?
The simple answer is "no entries unless status is changed". The harder one ie "any TX changes status back to "ACTIVE".
