It would be incredibly helpful if there was a bulk feature added that would replicate a job and crate multiple jobs for the same client. Our ACCTG practice has several jobs that are monthly, semi-monthly, weekly, etc. and the job setup process for these is very tedious. It would be nice to have a feature that would allow you to setup all frequencies of the job type at one time for a client (i.e. 12 jobs for a monthly job template).

Wanda Hooper Yes, please do this. Will save hours of setup time.

Andrew Hambly Is there some reason you wouldn't just set up the first job and roll it over as many times as required? Do you actually want 12 monthly jobs (for example) all created at the start of the year, which would then be available for staff to mispost timesheets to, rather than create the first job and roll it over when you need the next?

Lisa Dunnigan One reason I could think of is capacity planning for the upcoming year. If you are using budgeted hours and want to know the inventory of work you have for the next 12 months (for example) having all the jobs in place would be helpful.

Andrew Hambly I can see how having an option to "Create next X" jobs might be handy. So you create the first job and then as well as the rollover button to create the next 1 job you can click something else and be asked how many you'd like to create.
Would that work?

Aimee Osborn We considered creating one job and then rolling monthly however as Lisa commented, we then lose visibility of workload and capacity since those hours won't show up until the current job is completed and rolled. Often times work is started on the following month's job before the current job is completed.
We also discussed creating one job and then immediately rolling to create all 12 however then we would need to remember mid-year to roll again so we have visibility of the upcoming year. This just seemed a bit tedious and burdensome as most of our other jobs will be rolling automatically.
Andrew's suggestion of a "Create next X" jobs is worth further discussion. My immediate thought is that we would still be required to manually roll those jobs unless there was the ability to build in logic that for certain templates we would always be rolling the next 3, 6, etc. jobs.
I appreciate the suggestions - we're very open to ideas! Our Accounting Services jobs occur much frequently (monthly, weekly, semi-weekly, bi-weekly) than our Tax and A&A jobs and this is an area we've struggled with.

Michelle Harris Require more information about this

Aimee Osborn Michelle - there has been lengthy dialog back and forth between us and Brad, Andrew and Ryan. A lot of communication was done via email, outside of ZenDesk. At this point it is still in Ryan/PE's court. Would you like me to provide you with the background?

Michelle Harris Hi Aimee
Yes please. Andrew and I did discuss this, but we need to fully understand it before any further decisions can be made.
Please email me the details and I can add to the Feature Request log and discuss with Andrew further. At present no further enhancements are being made until we have finished the billing development.

Michelle Harris This is a complex request and requires a lot of thought and scoping.
We will not be considering this until we have a clear, sensible way of how this will work
