Would it be possible to enable us to set the default columns displayed in the Timesheet Entry page (plus other pages) for all users, ie add the 'description' column.
We know users can change these settings for themselves but it would be handy to set up defaults, especially for users who use roaming profiles and the settings are lost when they log off.

I agree, have seen this request before.
User's generally don't want to customise things, they just want it to be right to start with.
Plus it's not helpful when the settings get lost between browsers. Understand the idea that you can customise for different form factors, but in reality this rarely happens in our experience.
This is currently possible using the Grade defaults page in Admin

Thanks Michelle, do you have any instructions on how to use this option as the on screen instructions appear quite general. I specifically need to add the Description column as a default to the Timesheet Entry screen.
Also, I was told by your support that this was not possible and to log it as a request (Job no. 21049).

Hi Will,
The page is not the easiest to work out.
The page works by looking at your browser cache. So the way that I train people to use the page is to:
Login to PE. Clear your browser cache from the Help > Browser Details menu
Set the menu items, grid columns, preferred refiners etc that you would like to use as your default.
Then go to the Grade Defaults page. Select a grade. The page will display a list of your settings that are in your browser cache.
From this list you can then apply the settings that you would like to apply to the selected grade. Repeat for the other grades.
