We would like to be able to limit access to certain fields within a pages, rather than an all or nothing approach to a page. For example, the Client Details tab has a lot of fields, some of which should be edited by a larger group of people, and some which should only be edited by a couple of individuals.
I completely agree. The permissions are so granular in many cases but not at all in others. We are having more issues with the Job Details page right now, but am sure this can be problematic in other areas.
Agreed - especially on the client details. There are so many tabs of information that we have to give access to in order for some that we would only want updating one or two items.
Completely Agree. Seems like some parts of the application have great/granular permissions, but then other places are very 'all or nothing'. Something we have had the conversation about is the ability to complete jobs. Would like the normal staff member to be able to start a job, but then we want only a set number of people to set the job to complete after the job is finished.
This will be added onto the roadmap and will be included in a future version.
This requires a fair bit of work and scoping.
